First of all, you have a very nice looking mustang. I really like it a lot. Secondly, welcome to the site, we are glad you have joined. Thirdly, good luck with the competition, and I did vote for you. I hope you stick around. If you win, I want to see the finished product.

I'll definitely vote for you, but like Nate said... only if you give us pictures of the finished project.

i had to give them free reign to do with as they pleased but here is where i was goin
my 1967 mustang fastback WISH LIST
the numbers say its a 1967 manual trans,V-8,moss green, fastback
i have always loved the movie "Bullitt" with Steve McQueen so when i found these options on this car I had to have it
i liked the movie gone in 60 seconds and elenor for about 4 months BUT when everybody and their dog started doin their version of elenor i got real burnt out on her and became rather ANTI-Elenor
i like drifting and more power is always more better BUT I was planing to stay with the smaller ford block like the 302 for the milege i could get out of it and still have the killer horsepower i know ford motorsports had an aluminum 302 block the 331 and 347 seem a bit larger than i woulda went
i know roush is doin some killer things with 302's and i do plan on drivin and showin the crap outa this. I love the 8 stack induction system and forced induction is kool too
i also LOVE the sound of a LOPEY engine i had intended to instal some mandrel bent 2 1/2 inch stainless pipes behind some shelby K style manifolds and graft them into the stock apearing tips to be re chromed. NOS was also a thought.
i was gonna shave weight where ever i could i felt less was more in looks aswell no scoops and the moss green paint it came as. i sold the fiberglass shelby scoop it came with in favor of the plane jane hood now on it
shaving the bumper bolt heads and re chromin the bumpers
you'll find i ground a bit of the sway bar spacer on the passenger side front as the chassis is not quite straight
my overall goal was to have somthing really special but not at first glance like autometer cobalt guages the tack with resetable info buttons it would look really stock till you took the second look or unless the back lights were lit
i liked the L.E.D. panel that virginia clasic mustangs was offering for $150 it was sequential when lit and brighter but in a stock housing
i was goin for a manual rack and pinion for the horsepower /weight savings and Mc Pherson strut with coil-over front suspension sub frame conectors total control performance had a G-bar rearsuspension and A rear pushrod suspension that i was verry fond of with the 9 inch posi center chunk and vented sloted discs like bear brakes i have also looked into a full air-ride suspension
aluminum radiator with an electric pusher fan to clean up the engine bay
removing the wing windows and drip rails was somthin i had tossed around but lacked the knowledge at this time to do
6 speed is my dream but all i could afford was the weak used 5 speed sittin on the floor in my garage awaiting the funds to buy the conversion parts like stainless clutch cable and billet firewall adjuster
a behind the seat roll bar loop aswell as 5 way harness was in the works soon along with the seats being swaped out for some better ones that would allow me to sit up straight and maybe recline if so inclined i have to lean to the side as it is or i hit the roof
power windows with a window crank style switch
power antena that has a painted top and is almost invisable when retracted
relocate battery to trunk
a killer stereo that maybe still has the origonal one dummied in the stock place but a
true killer in the jockey box
i toyed with puting an electric rod or linear to open the access door to trunk when stereo was turned on it would open and show some subs and green or blue neon maybe
HID headlights with tri-bar housings and black center dots
stainless tilt column with the 3 spoke billett riveted steering like the Lecarra Mark 4 Elegante, part no. 432 wheel that looks alot like the elenor wood grain but in black leather wrap
i did a bunch of measuring and research to come up with these wheels and tires in this offset i do like fat back ruber and opted for 16" wheels because they were right on the edge of the old schoolers and the new style with better performance than origonal and these rears were the fattest 16 rubber i could get

Hmm...I believe SVTP had a "Please vote for my friends car" thread to vote for the skittle out there. Couldn't believe all the people that went and voted for the skittle from a mustang site.
Anyhow...I voted for your car back then when I read the "please vote for the skittle" thread. Couldn't bnig myself to vote against the mustang no matter how horrendous of a life the skittle owner wrote about.
And...welcome
