I would rather have a twin screw supercharger, Whipple, or Kenne Bell. I believe centrifugal are usually cheaper but I'm not sure. I think whipples are not to expensive. I've never had a supercharger on a car so I can't tell you from experience, this is just what I want. One of these days I plan on getting one.

They do not make a whipple for the 2vmotor. Rootsblowers are defanitley fun on the street because they reach peak boost at low rpms. Get a kenne belle 2.2 to work with your stroker kit from Modular PowerHouse

roots blower put a good bit more pressure on the bottom end. Roush only pushes like 5psi with their roots blowers. I would stay away from them~

turbo... best of both worlds.. unless you want INSTANT big block low end torque, get a kenne bell.. The non intercooled 6 psi kit is only about 3800
Either way, its not cheap

Great advice. The KB is a bit simpler to install, DIY type stuff.
Some guys like a DIY turbo kit, but it's lots more parts and work.
Hey BlwnByU, what's this?
Looks interesting

Have you heard of a guy named Willie on SVTperformance that goes by Wolverine?? Well, something like his setup, but low boost on pump gas shooting for 4 digit power numbers.. I have to find a new edge vert before I can tear this one apart though.. I found out I go nuts if I know I don't have a nice mustang sitting in the garage that I can drive.

I had the same decision to make, i think i am going with Procharger. I think in my case it would be a little more streetable due that it dosen't make as much boost in the lower RPM ranges. My wife drives my car occasionally and her clutch engagement isn't the best, so a supercharger that takes a little longer to get up to steam would suit us better. Plus i am planning to move to Germany and i think a centrifgual with stock rear gearing on the autobahn would be nasty.

If you want instant power go with a roots blower I had a B&M 114ci roots blower on my 82 5.0 with the stock converter and it would smoke the tires off the line through all three gears

Roots blowers are big inefficient hunks of aluminum.. Nothing says bad f ing ass like a big roots sticking through the hood of a carbed 68 fastback, but just get a screw for your gt..

Actually it fit under my stock hood with a 3" K&N air filter and a 750 double pumper on top of it.
