As inspired by "What new albums are you looking forward to?" and "What are you currently listening to?", Bunt Productions brings to you "Your favorite songs/albums of all time, ever."
The rules are simple. Post your top 5 favorite songs of all time and your top 5 favorite albums of all time. Explanations and discussions are acceptable. However, any more or less than 5 in either category and you obviously have either a small penis or breasts (depending on your sex). This would also mean you are incredibly stupid, and by failing to follow these rules agree to pay me (bbunt302) at least $573.40, possibly more (depending on my mood). A single "song" spanning mutliple tracks is acceptable (as seen in my #2). So don't break the rules or you are physically impaired moron and agree that you are indeed such.
That said, I'll start it:
Top 5 Songs:
1. Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven
2. Tool - Wings for Marie (Pt. 1) and 10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2)
3. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
4. Metallica - Nothing Else Matters
5. The Eagles - Hotel California
Top 5 Albums:
1. Tool - Lateralus
2. Nirvana - Nevermind
3. Metallica - Black Album
4. A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms
5. Tool - Ænima

I cant possibly pick 5 songs overall. Maybe if they were broken down into categories.
Eric Clapton's Wonderful Tonight would be in there though

Yeah, it wasn't easy for me either. I've actually been thinking about this one for a while. There's a lot of songs that I wanted to put in there... but if I did that the list would go on forever.
So... think about it and narrow it down to five.

Man I've liked Mariah Carey since I was a little kid. That kind of music put you in a good mood. I like some R&B and soft music. I was trying to think of something that isn't so hardcore or whatever you want to call it, I was thinking about some R. Kelly, but none of his albums have enough songs I really like on them to call them a favorite album.

Top 10 Songs (in no specific order):
1. Counting Crows - Round here
2. Counting Crows - Long December
3. Pearl Jam - Yellow Bedletter
4. Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song
5. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Green River
6. Weezer - Say It Ain't So
7. Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
8. Audioslave - I am the Highway
9. Toad the Wet Sprocket - Fall Down
10. tool - Lateralus
Ones that I thought about putting in but I didn't:
tool - Sober
Coheed & Cambria - the Crowing and/or Everything Evil
Stone Temple Pilots - Plush
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Fortunate Son and/or Proud Mary
Blind Melon - No Rain
In Flames - Ordinary Story
Seven Mary Three - Cumbersome
Counting Crows - Mr. Jones
Eagles - Life in the Fast Lane
Pearl Jam - Better Man
Lynyrd Skynyrd - Freebird
Tom Petty - Last Dance with Mary Jane
Foo Fighters - Everlong
Radiohead - Paranoid Android
Sublime - Santeria
It would be too hard for me to think about best albums but if I had to say it would be Counting Crows - November and Everything After and possibly Thrice - Illusions of Safety (despite none of their songs came close to my top 10 the album is really solid).

There is no way I can limit it to that many.
At least not without a lot of thought.

i can't even begin to choose, and we all know that obviously that my all time favorite band is linkin park, so hybrid theory or subxero would definately be in there, also all of the pink floyd albums, but i really can't create a solid top 5

This is tough I tried to find new music I like enough to add but most pale in comparison to some of the great songs of all times. Only the test of time will determine if some of the new music will be enjoyed 10 years from now. My criteria was a song or album after hearing it many many times I would not change the station if it came on or I will allow the entire CD to play without skipping.
Top 5 Songs
1. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
2. Led Zepplin - Kashmir
3. Rush - Spirit of the Radio
4. Rush - Limelight
5. Van Halen - Running with the Devil
Top 5 Albums
1. Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
2. Rush - Moving Pictures
3. Led Zepplin - Physical Graffiti
4. Van Halen - Van Halen
5. Jeff Beck - Wired
