my warrenty just ran up on my car, so i can do whatever i want to it. im going to have some cash in the bank, like a good bit. the car is an 03 with an auto and less then 25k. im tempted as hell to modd her but i dont think its worth it.

sit down and decide if you want the car or if you want something else. If you are happy with it and want to mod it fine, else trade it in on something else. I was in your same spot, I decided I needed a reliable car to drive and if I moded my 01 like I wanted I couldnt expect it to be reliable as moded cars just have more problems 99% of the time...

Meh..I wish I would have waited and saved money instead of putting so much into this car. The only way I'm gonna get my money back out of it is to part it out.

power is important, this car is slow as hell and thats what i mean by mod. but i think its just not worth it really, no matter what i do over all its going to be slow or blowing stuff up.

is there anything small ish that i can do to make the car more fun just for a couple years and not invest a bunch of money. im thinking about 4.10s and a nice chip. as i remember looking in to them it would make around town a lot more fun and the auto slush box a lot more responsive.

anything else yall can think of that isnt crazy? (i probably wont be owning this car too too much longer)

just put intake, exhaust, udp, and a good tune on it..........i wouldnt do too much else though, just save for an upgrade.


i thought about doin shit to the v6............4.2 swap, custom cam, all the goodies........after everything i wanted to do, including labor and a built tranny, new rear, and other little shit, i was lookin at around 6k...........i think i would much rather an upgrade

well if you do more boltons, the more hp you can get out of a custom tune.........you wont gain as much power from a tuner if you just do it on a stock car. it will sort of work itself out b/c you would be getting more for your money when you tune it

go drive a 99+ GT and determine if you want that much power or a tad under, with just bolt ons you wont be that fast~ you will be about half a second slower.

IMO... T-Lock, Gears, UDP, CAI, Exhaust, then some exterior aesthetic mods.

That's what I am geared at until I decide to take the plunge into the engine.

Yea if you are worried about cash get the worthwhile boltons and skip the stupid money scamming bs that I fell for.

Get a nice set of 3.73's or 4.10's, a tlock, some sticky tires and a good tune and go from there.
