Yeah, it was towards you. The new GT500s are nothing but a serious let down to me. There is nothing to set them apart from a GT...or a V6 for that matter. In the past, there was at least an aura around a cobra that just felt bad ass. There was a look...and a feel. The GT500....not so much. Order it without the stripes, and it will be hard to tell the difference without seeing the hood. I can at least pick an 03/04 out of a mustang lineup. The GT500s...well, they won't be that way to me.
Never the less, I think ford completely dropped the ball on this car. With the weight gains (which will eat up a good bit of the added HP), the solid rear, and the total lack of design (the concept was a ton better than the released version...don't get me started on the cheap ass stickers, gay shelby badging, and horrendous hood and cobra emblems)....I am nothing short of fully disappointed in this car....and I can't wait to rape the first one I see on the road to see the look on his face after spending 70k on it.

Yeah. The front bumpers, hood, side skirts, rear bumper, spoiler, and wheels are all different. You can even get the interiors with a leather-covered dash.
By that thinking, a 2003-2004 Cobra is also just a GT with an engine. As well as any other special edition Mustang Ford has ever made.
I don't understand why people get so pissy about this car. It's a pig, yes. So are the 03 Cobras. So are the 05 GTs. It's not Ford's fault that dealers are selling them for ridiculous prices. It is the dealerships and the consumers.

after seeing the 1/4 mile run, you can make a v6 whip its ass... easy for fewer dollars than 70k, then have money to go to the bar and celebrate a victory over whipping some prics ass cuz he's in a 70k dollar car.
very disappointing... rob's cobra would tear that thing to shreds...

These places never put the kind of stress on the car that true drag drivers do. I guarantee they didn't dump the clutch at 5k....
