I just got the knew Motor Trend magazine in the mail, and they say GM has confirm that they will build a knew super-Z06 that is expected to bring back the SS and/or Stingray name. It should drop in mid-2007. It will have 600+ HP with a supercharged version of the 7.0 liter LS7 engine found in the C6 Z06, and weigh in around 2900 pounds, and have a maximum of 4.83 pounds per horsepower. It sounds like it should be able to beat most any of its compatition, even though I'm a Ford guy, being American I hope it does. This might be the Blue Devil concept that was being talked about, but I don't know. Maybe Ford could build a knew GT that could one up it. The pictures I have posted were not in the Motor Trend magazine, they are the closiest I could find that relate to this topic.

Sweet pictures. Edited them and made them attachments so not to leach the bandwidth of where they were hosted

Well, the pic of the orange Vette is painfully obvious that it's a total Photoshop.
I sat there for a couple of minutes thinking, 'I've seen that body kit some where before'.... then it hit me
Along with being a Mustang fan literally my whole life, I've also beena Vette fan during that time as well (I don't care how much you can't stand Chevy, you have to admit that at least they've kept doing one thing 100% correct). I love seeing what they come out with during each redesign. The cars just keep getting better. The Mustang only ever took the lead on the Stang once and that was in the mid-80s (if I remember right), and I guarantee that it'll never happen again. If Ford ever wanted to try it, the new Shelbys were that chance.

I wish I could, but for some reason when I did a system restore on my computer it quit working on it, I even tried to reinstall my Printer/scanner/copier to my computer with no luck. Also I'm not really sure how to edit the pics, I'm not very computer literate, but I will try to figure it out next time.

I never said I didn't like Chevy's, or that I can't stand them, I just like Ford's better, that is my brand. I've had several friends that have owned bad ass Camaro's, Trans Am's, S-10's, Silverodo's, etc, and I like all their cars because they are very good, very fast cars, I just prefer Ford's. Also I think the knew Corvettes are very attractive cars, and think that you can not buy a better performance car for the money than the knew Z06.

the vette is already out of the mustang's leauge. This wont change either... not while the GT500 pigs are the best that ford can do... but for the money (when they are at the correct price) they are not bad either~

Hell yeah. I did a little searching and it looks like the knew engine will probably be called a LS9 and of course be a supercharged 7.0 Liter engine with 600+ HP(I've seen it rumored at 600, 650, and 700 HP). I also found a site stating there's a report of GM building a 8.3 Liter LS engine with 900 HP. Wouldn't it be crazy if they through one of those in a Vette.
PlanetCamaro: Camaro Concept Engine: LS9?
