Hello,
The stock 2000 Mustang comes with three yellow stripes in each of the headlights. I have seen aftermarket headlights that are all clear. Is there anyway to remove these three yellow inserts from the stock design without damaging the headlights?
Thank you very much.

yea clear corners are awesome. i have black housed projector lights with clear corners, and put you some of those titanium turning signal bulbs (blue/purple, but glow amber) and that'll make ur front end a little cleaner... i have pix scattered about of mine.

Yes, you can clear your own corners on stock headlights.
It is however a tricky and somewhat difficult task to complete, and cannot be rushed. I rushed mine and if you look closely you can tell.
You will need a Dremel tool, cutting wheels, a place like a garage you can work on this in because it is messy, it stinks, and it won't be a quick hour long job, eye protection, compressed air like computer duster, JB weld, and a water sealer like silicone.
You'll need to cut around the outside edges of the end of the headlight. I used to have pictures of the entire process on my computer with a full how-to, but you can thank Dell and their POS hard drives for it not being posted. If you take several pictures of the back side of your headlights, I'll show you where to cut and the rest of the process.

Yeah I bought my headlights off ebay and the guy said they were cobra headlights... but when I got them you can tell he opened them and just put clear corners in.

Your headlights do look tinted, so they could have come from any 01 newer mustang...I can't remember if the cobra headlights are actually darker.. I have 03 cobra headlights in my gt, but I'm not sure if they are darker than 01-04 gt headlights.

I believe the headlight tint started in 02.
And there is no "clear corner" that you put in. You just take out the orange crap.

01+ came with the "smoked" look. Basically, the only difference is the 99-00 has a chrome background instead of black found in the 01+

eh, oh well. I was wrong. Not the first time, and I'm sure it won't be the last.
So if pictures appear, I'll show where to cut.. haha.
