Well I had to get everything fixed before my finals in the morning. Sadly it WAS the alternator, or so I was told. With the help of my girlfriend's dad who lives close to starkville, we took the old alternator off and the bearings were pretty shot. Not only were the bearings shot, but the alternator's fuse had also failed.
All in all I spent 130 bucks for the new alternator and nothing for the installation. I drove it on the highway for about 15 mins to get the charge back up on the battery and made sure everything checked out with my lights, radio, and subwoofers turned up to put a drain on the electrical system. Nothing bad happened and all turned out well.
However, I will never go to Cliff's Car Care in Tupelo, MS. I not only bought my alternator, but my air compressor from him. My air is no longer working, and I had to install a new alternator in under 3 years of both being worked on. Just an FYI for anyone living in Northern MS and gets their car worked on.
