This is by no means what the 2009s will look like, but I thought it would be a good discussion piece.
I just remembered about this picture that I found when 2005 convertible concept pics came out. Some dude (I have no idea who) took the vert and and did this to it..... holy crap.
Minus the ugly wheels (but we all know Ford sucks at the factory Mustang wheel thing anyway), and I'm not sure about the front side marker light, this thing would be the hottest seller that the company has seen in a long, long time IMO. The chrome piece on the front bumper is an awesome idea though.

the back end on the new cars are funny looking other than that they did pretty good on the new style... just a tad to bland (but the 94 though 98s also suffer from this a bit)

From what I've been hearing the `09's will be a bit more drastic than just sticking a chrome accent here or there. I think they said every body panel is being altered in some way.

I'd have to see it in person. I love the rear louver, but there's no way it'll come with that. Maybe a special edition Boss. But other than that, I need to see more pics.

I thought that with the recent drop in mustang sales that they are going to be keeping the mustang pretty much the same until later on??? I would have to say I would buy one in a heartbeat. Looks like my car model I have but in red instead of black. I would lose the spoiler though, not a big fan of spoilers...looks good!

hmm, i think it was lookin awsome until they tried that fast back. it will never be a 67 fast back. it looks ugly to me. i think the muststang as is, is AWSOME. why change what aint broke.

They need to just give in and make a couple thousand exact replicas of the old style cars with new engines and IRS. Lightened with a 6 spd tranny and the 03/04 motor. OMG I would love that.
But I guess this is the next best thing.

that would be pure insane. Any car company that does that, take a classic chassis, reverse engineer it to work with todays unibody construction, slap a modern motor and drivetrain into it, would receive huge props from the industry.
