After talking to some of my friends and the people i work with i'm a bit confused on some of the 351 facts. I know that the 351M was based on the 400 industrial block which is a big block. So does that mean that nothing can be swapped between the modified and the C/W since they were based on small blocks?

Appreciate any input anyone has so that i can start looking around for parts.
Just so you know my motor is out of a 78 bronco and i have the original flywheel but i've been told i need to swap that too?

I'm kinda curious about the specifics as well. Trying to figure out what kind of bellhousing I'm gonna need made to team a viper spec t56 to a 351 from a later bronco, early 90's.

Read the link again I posted in your first thread, i.e. this one.

The main problem with the 351Ms were crappy stock heads, a horribly low compression ratio, and a shitty cam. You can use some of the different heads from the 351C to get rid of the first two problems. Your best bet will probably be to find a set of 351C 2V heads (70-74) and then use aftermarket pistons to get your CR to a decent number. Unless of course you wanna put a blower on it. Then just get the 2V heads.

Basically, read the link. It has more information than you probably want.
