First post! '04 Cobra coming tomorrow...

We're picking up a black '04 cobra from a local dealer tomorrow. It has 28k, looks to be in excellent shape and is 100% stock. We are going to do baseline dyno runs on the car while stock and then document a step by step mod process; testing each mod on our new Mustang dyne for verification of power and 1/4 mile times. Our goal is to get 1000 rwhp or break the stock engine trying. We are doing this for our next speed channel bike/car build show at our new Oakland Speed Parlour. is your shop going to be doing alot of dyno-tuning? i have a 2.93" pulley with an amazon racing tune inside a diablo chip, but i believe it is a very very conservative tune(little timing and on the far side of the rich-0-meter), and wouldnt mind strapping her down and seeing if i can pry some numbers out of her.

im close to the area(ok not really but i dont mind a 1.5 hr drive to knowledgeable shops) and wouldnt mind stopping by. im still lookign for local dyno places that know cobras.

and holy shit, is that a 20g on the gixxer?

its just anodized black. and i dont plan on upping the pulley sizes until i have the support ready (bap, heat exchangers, eaton portwork, etc).

2.76 is fine...until you up the lower pulley with it. BUt, the black wouldn't match my redfire idlers...oh well...lol

I say don't do the 2.76 though...just up the lower pulley to a 4# if you decide to keep the heaton. It will help the belt slip issue.

None the less, BAP, HE won't be needed till you do push the heaton a little further. The BAP will be needed with the port...I am running a 2.76 and only see somewhere around 80-85% fuel pump duty, so the bap is not needed yet. it will be for the KB I am getting though.
