Went to my local Ford dealership....

They had these beauties sitting in the showroom, right next to the Boss mustang that was white and black accent.
The yellow one was going for 41k with a mark up to.. 80 grand....
The red one had like 3 miles on it or something and going for.. *cough* $120,000...........
I talked to this one guy who looked like a new salesman (aren't they all?) and said "So.... the sticker says 41k... but you want 120 grand for it?" He's like "Supply and demand" So I asked him "How long have these cars been sitting here?" He goes "Uh, so far about a week and a half." I'm like... alllllright.. quite the demand then if they are still sitting here collecting dust..
I'm surprised if anyone buys it for that much at that place. Fuckin stupid.. the guy was telling me "Well you could get one with 0% APR, that is on the GT Mustangs." I told him flat out that Galpin has the must over priced cars on the market.
I bought a 98 V6 Mustang for like 15 grand back in what.. 2002? Or 2003? It had like 50-60 thousand miles on it too. Granted, the interior and exterior was fantastic, but it's still a V6 150hp car. One year later we bought a 2002 V6 Mustang for 11 grand from a volvo dealership who just wanted it the hell outta their lot. Anyway, pics below :P

youd have thunk they couldve engineered nicer set of wheels. those just look so boring. then again, they go with the rest of the car, which is boring as well.

I disagree... the car look sweet, but the wheels do suck. Seems like ALL stock wheels (saleen, GT "fanblade" wheels, bullitts, etc) look pretty lame. You need something aftermarket in 19" or bigger to get these new ones looking like they should.

The biggiest thing that makes this car unattracting to me is the way the rear sits so much higher than the front. That makes it look like some jacked up old Nova or something. Of course if you drop the rear 2-3 inches and the front maybe an inch and put some 19-20's on it and a hood that looks like the concepts, this car would look staight up bad ass.

The thing that gets me is the interior is just as plain as a normal Mustang GT with the "upgraded" interior. Oh yeah it has the Shelby symbol on the steering wheel.
Gee.. the really wants me to spend the extra money on that..
I'd rather buy a GTO. Sad aint it?

If I had to spend 80-100k on a car not sure what I would get... not enough for a fort GT.. hmm

I would finance the remaining 40-50k needed to get the GT. 100+k for a mustang is rediculous. hell, 40+k for a mustang is rediculous...saleen, roush, steeda, etc, included. It's a damn mustang...the working mans car for christ sakes. |

Mine was under 40 as well with the 2 miles on the clock when I picked it up. The only thing that would have put it over 40 would have been if I got the chrome rims. |
