Hello to Everyone -
I just traded my '05 GTO for a '06 silver 5-speed GT. Yes, the GTO is quicker stock, but it just didn't move me like my new Mustang. I really enjoy this car, and just can't wait to drive it whenever I see it. Not so with my GTO.
Now, because the 400hp LS2 has me a little spoiled. What reccomendations would you have to get it to perfrom like my GTO did. I would like to get another 50hp to the wheels right away, which I believe will make it comperable to the GTO or perhaps a bit faster.
PS My GTO went 13.23, which willbemy short term Mustang goal.

Welcome I'm quite sure the expert will jump in and help you get that 50 HP You might want to get a SCT chip & tune , 25% UDP to start with

Fifty at the wheels is gonna be fairly hard to get without either some type of forced induction or moderatly extensive engine mods. A good start would be a CAI w/ tune, longtube headers and full exhaust, and UDPs. That should be good for 30-40 at the wheels over stock. From there, you could look into some ported heads and aftermarket cams, but this is where it starts to get expensive.
On the other hand, you could strap on a Roush supercharger. They only make 5psi... but Roush will uphold your factory warranty. With only 5 psi, you should still see between 350-370 rwhp. The car would also be much more streetable than a N/A 4.6 making that kind of power too.

the mustang you have is capable of doing 14.0's stock so you will need to shave off around 8 tenths of a second. All the bolt on's, gears, and slicks should just about do the trick.

Slap a centrifugal blower on there and be done with it.

They actually seem to be able hit around 13.6-13.8 stock.
A CAI w/ tune for 91/93 octane, some 4.10s and a set of drag radials should get it no problem.

I wouldnt dare hope for a 13.6 or even a 13.8. I have seen far to many run 14.0s or higher even with mods. Most at the local tracks struggle to run faster than 9.4-9.2 in the 8th mile, these are of course manuals.

Welcome...
Where is home? If you are near by, we can get you into the low 13s and high 12s like some of our customers. (Even mid 10s like one of our 05 GT guys if you feel real ambitios. )
If not close, definitely check out VMP. They can hook you up with some of the stuff including the all important tuner needed to pick up your world a lot.
