What size tires for 18 inch bullets on 99 coupe

Howdy folks:

I'm getting some 18 x 9 inch deep dish bullet wheels for my 99 coupe.

1. Can I go with a 255/45/18 tire without rubbing anything on the front?

2. I want to fill the wheel well as much as possible, but without causing any problems. What size tire would you recommend?

you should go 275/35/18's to ensure you have enough tire on that rim size. If the offset and backspacing on that rim are setup for your car (sounds like they are being bullits) then you will not have any issues. (maybe a tiny bit of a rubb but not bad and only at full wheel turn which you dont need to do anyway)

I have 245/40/18's on mine. I'm thinking about going with some wider ones for the back tho.

thanks, I have 17x9 rims (I wish I had 18s...) with 275/40/17's

For 18s numerically 265/35/18s work better but get 275/35/18s... the last thing you want to do is run up on a curb with your new rims.

I have 18x9's and running 275/35-18's, the fronts rub some of the time at full lock, I just don't go full lock and it's all good lol. I love being able to rotate though, gonna make my pocket book feel a little heavier.

All depends on how you drive and if you have a correct alignment. I'd at least pay to have the tires rotated side to side every 10-15k to ensure you get the life out of the tires you are wanting. Your fronts will probably last longer than the rears regardless.

if you keep it aligned good (not just to stock specs but watch and adjust for even tire wear) probably 1/3 to 25% less tire life on the front/rear~ (if you take care of the rear)

Ive had tires on my 18x9" rims that have 45k miles on them right now, and Im not able to rotate them. Theyve been correctly aligned their entire life, so thats why Im getting good milage out of them. Theyre 285/35/18s.

its all about alignment, rotation (if applicable), keeping the air set right, and all that stuff. You would be amazed at how much you can get out of tires if you take care of them.

lol just stick the back wheels on the front. itll look awesome, deep dishes in the front and normal in the rear. like one of them bulldogs with the small legs and big front arms.
