 I found an article stating that Ford plans on releasing a hybrid F-150 that is scheduled go on sale in August of 2008. Ford claims that the truck is 300% more efficient than a Toyota Prius, and matches its mpg around town with a CVT(continuously variable transmission).
I wonder if this will make the F-150 a dog when it comes to stuff such as towing, carrying heavy loads, and just basic stuff you use trucks for. I assume it will probably gain a significant amount of weight.
Still I know several people that spend $120+ a week on gas for their trucks that would love one that gets 60 mpg,(who wouldn't) and I'm sure this will be an option on the truck, and not standard.

its for those fake ass people who buy a truck/suv for something its not designed to do, as normal everyday drivers.

Trucks are pimp. If they didn't have Mustangs I would get an F-150. I'm always having to barrowing peoples trucks for something.

You can still use it, to move furniture and such. Lug around tools. It just wont be that towing monster. |

I drive my truck everyday, I don't tow a fifth wheel or a 25' boat or anything, but its nice to able to carry furniture, car parts, and my bike when I need to. Doesn't make me fake.....

I'm looking at a diesel for a dd, don't plan on hauling stuff every day, but it'll sure make it nicer when I do have to haul stuff.
