69 tire and wheel fitment

Hello again, there has got to be someone out there that has had experience with putting larger wheel set up on a 69 mustamg, I,m thinking on putting 275x40x17 on the front and 295x35x18 on the rear with either foose nitrous or sixty-eight (hot wheels) I have been to several custom tire shops here in Indy and they all says it will look great, I'm not sure I don't want that gettofied look No offence, and I dont want the big wagon wheel look, any pics or suggestions please help me out T hanks Jeff

Ill try to dig up pictures of a 65 mustang that was converted over to a 2003 cobra frame, and used the oem 17 x 9 rims and eventually some different wheels as well. It looked very nice the KEY is how far they stick out... thats gonna be the hard part. You can probably rent/buy those little things that you can bolt up to your lug nuts and determine how you want the wheels to sit. You sit the tire on it and slide it in/out until you are happy then find a wheel with those specifications.
