I am new so forgive me if I ask or post this in the wrong place. My question is quite simply whether or not you think the price I am getting quoted for my new Mustang is good.
I am military, currently deployed, so I can take advantage of the Military new car sales program. I recently requested a quote for a 2007 Mustang GT Convertible with manual transmission and the California Special package option. I loaded every option I could into it EXCEPT the Shaker 1000 and convertible boot cover. My price with all discounts came to $32,221. There is no tax where I will register it, so that is the final price.
For the color conscience, I am getting black with black/parchment interior, satin aluminum accents and a black cloth top.
I am excited about it, but have not ordered it yet. I thought I would seek a few more opinions first. Thanks.

I wouldnt pay 32k for it... but it is a convertible which definatly raises the price. See what you can get a used car (slightly used) and you might be amazed at the money you can save as mustangs depreciate very fast right off the lot.

They are some nice looking cars. There's a vista blue one and a redfire one over here at the dealership, trying to talk brad into buying them.

The only problem with the 2007 California Special is that it isn't anything like the original California Special. Wrong motor, wrong decals, wrong decal location, wrong taillights, and the original CS never was made as a convertible.
If Ford is going to pay tribute to a car such as the CS they should have at least make it more similar to the original CS. Even the CS National Registry snubs the car and will not allow them to register as CS's. They have given them their own forum!

if you are into mustangs the chances of you being happy with that "package" are very slim. Buy a regular one and then customize it however you wish. You will be happier in the end.

I own a 2007 California Special in Vista Blue. It stickered for about $30,850, and my car is a hardtop. Considering that the car you are looking at is a convertible and has a better stereo, the price you have been quoted is a bargain. One piece of advice, get the GT Appearance group which includes the hoodscoop. No GT/CS should be without that.

I dont understand the high prices on the new GT's when you can get much more mustang for your dollar just not the heavy 05 body style. You sacrifice interior comfort for sure though.

That is a great price. I bought a regular triple black 07 GT Vert for that. Mine is equiped about the same with Satin aluminum panel, front seat side air bags, anti theft, sirius, comfort group, GT appearance, vert boot, and floor mats. It stickered at $35,180. If you want the CA Spec, get it. Buy the car how you want it not for anyone else.
