So this weekend I go near Orlando to SNIPER TUNING with my BF to get his truck Dyno'd. So I look in the back and see this black cobra sitting....it was bad. It runs 9.20's in the quarter with a kenne bell supercharger. You can see the roll cage in the pics. Anyway it has 596 horse power. I'm thinking about when I go to Daytona for The turkey rod run, I might bring my car and let him dyno it while I'm down there.

Full street trim and 596 hp?
I really dont think cobra can do 9.20's with the above.

A roll cage does not a fast car make. I know this, because I have a roll cage in the '90.
Seriously though, 03-04 Cobras are a lot like Supras. In that, a 500 hp Cobra/Supra and a 700 hp Cobra/Supra usually both run 11s.
I think it this is because of two factors: #1) Weight. #2) Most 03-04 owners aren't serious enough about drag racing to make the switch to a live rear axle and a drag suspension (I don't blame them either though). You can make all the power in the world, but if you don't put it to the ground, you're gonna run shitty times.
It's possible that a 596 hp Cobra could indeed run 9.20s. It's just not the norm. I've seen 650+ rwhp Cobras run much slower times due to the aforementioned reasons.

with a solid rear and drag suspension, slicks, i can see it possible.
there were terminators hitting 11.2's and 11.4's last time i was at the track. one guy had the stegemeir stageIII eaton portwork and 2.75" pulley, lfp heat exchanger/resevoir/ice, i think a different maf and a tune, prolly some other shit, on drag radials with IRS. slicks and a built solid rear would be 10's.

No way, that thng was in full street trim. Too much weight.
If it had an auto, slicks, full drag suspension, and it was gutted. At that power I can see low tens high nines. But no way 9.2's.

Still has the stock 13 inch front brakes, no way it uses skinnies.

Shep's drag talon was full weight(minus a rear back seat due to rollcage) running 8's.
who knows, maybe he meant it ran a 9.2 in the 8th, which makes sense, most terminators would still be struggling for traction at half track.
