Has anyone tried making their non-functional side scoops functional?

If anyone knows what all is entailed with this or if anyone knows of a kit anyone has to do this please let me know. If there is not one would anyone be interested if such a thing did exist. But I still need to know what all is entailed in doing this. Where the side scoops are is that behind the inside pieces or is it pretty much flat with the wheel well. If it is almost flat with it I can probably cut out the wheel well and drill holes in the fake screen an put it back together to get the desired effect if not I need to fabricate an extension that would go through the wheel well to make it functional.

just look at the early shelbys they had functional side scoops, had duct work running to the brakes. might give ya an idea on how you would need to do it. I forsee alot of work in involved for not much gain but its something different and thats always a plus.

94/95 models have holes there but they dont really do anything, it would be a waste of time unless you need brake cooling which for daily driving you dont.

There's no point in cooling the rear brakes, I'd worry about cooling the front brakes before the rear. Behind the side scoop is a recessed metal panel, I can take a pic of it if you want since mine are off at the moment.

I use mine to vent my batteries which reside inside my rear seat.

I saw a cool photo on some website this stang was doing a burnout and the smoke had come out the side vents it really looked sharp. but I agree frount brakes take the brunt of the stopping force you could remove your fog lights and run a duct from from there to the disk.
