need some tune up info

hey wuts up ppl im new to mustang evolution. umm i have a 99 v6 stang and ive had it now bout 2 years (previous owned of course) ive done some exterior work however now i wanna start on the engine and power.. what are some good ideas and sites that i can go to help boost my power and performance without spending a whole lot..so far ive done the xuast with a flowmaster and i have a single turn down pipe..i was thinkin about puttin in a dual system and jus adding anothing flowmaster with turn down...does that sound like a good idea or not..help me out if ya can with addition parts and thoughts that can help for power and looks

You can go with a dual exhaust setup, that'll sound better than just the single exhaust. The best place to start if you dont want to spend a bunch of money is with the bolt-ons. Look into a Cold air kit, underdrive pulley, and more exhaust work and thatll give you a few pony's. Beyond that, the next thing Id do is a new rear end gear w/ trac-lok as well as a tuner from SCT. how much are you looking to spend? I would do a ported upper and lower intake before I spent money on making it true dual. yea the bolt on's help with power but there's not just one to do that will make a huge difference. It takes all of them and by the time you spend money on them you could do some mods that will really improve power.

i dunno overall ive already spent maybe like 2500 so far on jus the things that ive wanted and i dunno not like extremely pricey cuz i have already over 100,000 miles so im lookin to better wut i have but not put everything in my stang cuz i do wanna get a new car eventually but i wanna fix up my baby so that it looks runs and sounds good

Wouldnt metal ones make it hotter?? So wouldnt platic be better to use?

Not really. The air is not in the intake tube long enough to absorb much heat.
I have have one of the $50 CAI's off E-bay and it works & fits fine.
