o2 sensor advice

Hey guys, whats up? Well i installed a mac h pipe with high flows about 3 wks ago, and the o2 sensors werent long enuff to hookup, so the guy said to leave it off until i can get them extended. Well the chek engine light is on and im getting annoyed and i think it mite be affecting my gas mileage for the worse. My question is, can i but longer o2 sensors, or should i extend them? Am i hurting my engine by not having them on? Im starting to get a lil scared. Please, advice, ASAP (im losing sleep ). THanx guys.

I think the o2's before the cats have a little extra give on the wires so you might be able to pull on them carefully and see if they extend far enough.
It's normal for the check engine light to come on if the o2's aren't turned off by a tuner or other means, so don't worry too much about that.
I gained MPG when i changed out my bad 02's so I could see how it would bring your mileage down. I think vmptuning has the extensions you need if you can't get some slack out of them.

Also, if i need to buy new ones, im goin for performance upgrade. A link to any recommended ones would really help. Maybe from one of our sponsors . Any hookups. HeHe. And whats the deal with MIL eliminators. I want whats best for my car and will keep it running the best, not to mention a lil performance. ANd srry for the 2nd part to my post, dnt meant to be a pest, just wanna get as much info as i can. Thanx GUYS!

Do you know how to solder? If you do just extend them by soldering a new piece of wire.
If not just get some bbk 02 extension harness'

You need the front O2s for the car to run right. Buy extension harnesses.
