What would y'all think was a reasonable price for a 2000 V6 coupe with about 90k miles on it with a blown engine? The body isn't in too bad of shape, don't remember seeing any major damage at all...just the usual rock chips and what not. I say about $1k. It has a working trans, just a very blown engine....

More than 1k.... if all it needs is an engine then thats just about 2k on top of the 1k... I'd say the car is worth atleast 2500-3000

i know ya'll have read the post i have that is entitled RIP Mustang, thats what were talkign about.
My dad wants to put another 3.8 REBUILT engine in it... i found an engine on rpm-mustangs but it is to much....
is there another website or place where i can get a 3.8 or 4.2 but not as expensive as the one on rpmmustangs... i need a long block and would love a bored 3.8 if possible... just not feeling the rebuilt stock motor.

No you pay what you get for. If you want a quality engine you got to pay for it.

exactly....You go with a cheap rebuilt thing from ford...fine, hope it don't blow before you sell/trade on a new car.
However, I think you car is worth about 1k as it sits since the blue book is only 3-5k with a working engine. It would save the 4-5k it will cost for the rebuilt engine (including installation) and y'all could gain 1k in cash plus the 1k from the wheels you would sell to kyle to put towards the new car.
It is a win for me, a win for you, and a win for kyle. So, it is a win, win, win situation.

Well, unfortunately, the persons in charge were brain dead and decided to replace the engine with a rebuilt stocker in order to sell the car off within a year...so the deal fell through anyhow. Where they thought spending the money on a rebuilt stocker would be worth it in the end is beyond me, but, that is what happened. Oh well...on with the search for a cheep roller.
