Not to steal his thread, but, how does a flow sound on a v6 single exhaust? And which series sounds best? I was thinking about making it dual with a factory gt system and replacing the rear bumper, but after reading some of your comments, I'm starting to think twice. If it's possible, I'm looking for a sound similar to the gt but without any power loss. Is that possible?

Ummm no it will never sound like a GT. Its all in personal preference you need to listen to some exhaust clips and figure out which one you like best. One brand is not going to give you that much more of a gain than another (+ or - a couple of horses)

Any recommendations on a series if I'm looking for a quiet rumble at idle and a medium rumble at acceleration?

Do you remember which series and is you car dualed out? I've been told that make a v6 a true dual causes it to lose power and sounds like crap.

I have a 98 mustang with true duals from the down pipes back. It has 40 series flowmasters on it and I have had a couple times when people have asked me if my car was a GT. With the set up I have, 2.5 inch back with the 40 series, my car sounds like a mellower GT at idle since it doesnt have the rumble of a GT but under power it sounds like one with a little less throaty sound.
