Actually it is hard to be jealous of the Jackass buttheads. I make a goods living doing something that is actually important, helping making the world safer and providing a service that actually means something. I would make a bad court jester, Village Idiot or Jackass moron simply because I have self esteem and would hate to be seen as a idiot in the eyes of my children. Pop Culture has never dumbed America. There is a difference between culture and ignorance. We live today where the intelligence in this country is waning. It is not about the movie it is the idea we laugh at morons and pay them. There once was a time when they called them court jesters and we paid them to entertain us and they lived a meager life as an idiot.
