I haven't had my 00 gt 3 weeks and the tranny already went out. only 54,000 on the clock. I have it in the shop being swapped with a t56 6 speed tranny, new cobra clutch and lightwieght fly wheel and 3.73 gears should be ready by wensday. tranny went out tuesday. it's not gonna be cheap either. glad i got a new job in the oilfiled making $1500 a week after taxes and i only work 2 weeks a month.

That sucks that your trans went out only 3 weeks after you bought your car.
The T-45 isn't known for their great strength, the 3560 that was put in the mustang midway through 2001 is better. It looks like your getting some pretty nice parts for your car.

That sucks the tranny went out.........whoever had the car before you didn't take good care of it. I have some problems with mine, minor, but i'm trying to tune it up the best i can and mod it up for better performance with a longer life for the engine. If i had the money i would've done the samething! Sounds like you're going to have a great engine! Goodluck!

it a lot of manual labor when tripping pipe in or out the hole but when were slow drilling it's pushing a scrub brush and a pressure washer your on your feet in steel toe boots and a hard hat for 12 hour a day 7 days a week and then i have 7 days off to just do anything i want.

nearly all of the time the tranny goes out due to abuse~ so dont blame ford for it (even though they are known to screw up quite a bit of crap) I like my 6 speed but... it left some to be desired IMO.
