I am rebuilding a 1968 fastback and plan to use a 5.0 engine out of a 1991 California Highway Patrol Mustang and a 1988 AOD tranny. I think for simplicity sake I will carbuerate the engine. Does anyone see any problems with this combination? Also, what will I need to do to the 5.0 to get 275-300 hp?

You'll need a new distributor that doesn't have a TFI module in it, but otherwise its pretty straight forward.
