Okay so i'm going to be selling the truck next spring for something with a smaller payment and I feel it's time for some change. I'll also be going to school next fall and need something that wont cost an arm and a leg so here's my choices. Let me know which you like better
2002-2003 Explorer: Aiming for a limited v8 they avg 11k right now.
99-03 Jeep Wrangler:
2001-2003 Ranger 4x4(maybe, but more then likely one of the others. I'm ready for something different)
Right now i'm leaning towards the explorer. I'm ready for something nice and its easy to find one with less then 50k miles with all the options and around 11k. If the truck doesn't sell by may then i'll just look at trading it in. Anyway whats your thoughts?
Just so you know I was wanting to get another GT mustang, but being that I do deliver and will till i'm out of school I dont want to put that kind of mileage on it.

drive the reno, sell every other vehicle you own and pay cash on something reasonable, work to get in school and pay off the reno, then work to get your ass out of debt until you buy something you really want but dont need
bottom line. dont finance, buy what you can afford now and not what you want. don't live beyond your means

Mustang is not a good vehicle for delivery.
Trying to get out of debt and i'm tired of paying 3-400 bucks a month for a vehicle. I'll be able to get a payment around 2-250 plus i'm paying rent and more bills related to that. Also the explorer would be a lot nicer then my ranger.
The reno isn't mine it's lisa's car and i'm not sinking any damn money into that POS. I hate that car and by getting rid of my truck and getting something cheaper in my price range I will be living in my means unlike now i'm living beyond it.
I'm looking at something reasonably priced, but still something I want. When i'm out school and working a real job then I can get something newer if I want.

How about a moped. You could go hog wild with the mods and only cost you a couple hundred bucks and you would get over 90 miles a gallon

Keep the ranger and keep paying until you have no car payments.

I would sell it and buy something reliable and in good condition with very little or no financing at all. Then go back to school and work at night. After you obtain a good degree you wont have to worry about affording stuff nearly as much. Try to only have a vehicle aginst your credit and do your best to pay off everything else. Also try to at least have positive equity in the vehicle you buy so if you had to sell you wouldnt lose a ton of money on it.

That's why i'm getting something with a lower payment. My goal is to basicly be out of debt besides a reliable car. I'll be getting a second job here in a month or so and will be able to eliminate all my bills and probably be able to refinance the next car that I get before I go to school to lower the payment even more.

I like explorers better than the others.. but it all comes down to what you want
it'd be a nice change of pace at least, and is likely 4wd..

WOW.. I wish I could of found a 02-3 explorer like that for that cheap.. Mine is a 2002, I pay $246.11 a month, and insurance for it is $ 130.00 a month. (my Mustang is paid off, and the insurance is weekend only (aka show car/ classic) so its umm close to dirty cheap. mine is a v6 4x4 XLT with leather and all the goodies, I get est. 19-20mpg combo city some highway. I needed a larger car to drive in the winter, and also I drive to my GF's school everyweekend. Also all my fire gear fits with no issues. but I also work full time, and save all that i can get (extra jobs like detalin and farm stuff) so if your car payments (well all ur bills) are more then 2 weeks worth pay then ur spendin to much money and will never pay down ur debt.

Yeah I can put a ton of pizza's in there and get more big orders. Gets about the same gas mileage as my truck, but is a lot more comfortable.
I'd like one, but again not a good delivery vehicle.
