Ok so my ABS light will randomly come on. No set pattern but it seems after it rains or I wash my car, it doesnt do it as often. Ive concluded that my ABS sensors are dirty, so can I just clean them or do I have to buy new ones? Does it sound like Im on the right path with this?

if you take your wheels off you can see the abs wire just follow it and clean up the area really good and ensure its attached good etc etc. If that doesnt work do some more digging.

Ive been meaning to take the wheels off for a couple months now to check it lol, its just that Im lazy and that takes effort. Jacking up a car thats really low doesnt excite me.

yes it sounds like a intermitten sensor. As Brandon said a good cleaning should fix it.

Ok this is the lazy mans way to clean the sensor spay the area with a degreasser then take the hose pipe and spray water up around each sensor from the back side roll the car back a little and do it again to get to all of the teeth on the gear that the sensor reads of course of this doesnt work pull out the jack and use a nylon brush "an old toothbrush works" and brush all the junk out of the teeth of the gears and off the sensor. Its better if you take the tires off though that way you dont get grease on the rotors
