Ok, so here's the deal. My 58 year old secretary has an all original, all stock 94 Cobra with 23,000 miles on it. Its red with black leather, five speed. Her husband bought it for her brand new in 94. He passed away several years ago, and now she has decided to sell it. I want it, the problem is, she doesnt know what to sell it for, and im not sure what's a fair price to give her. She is a sweet lady and my secretary, so I dont want to screw her over, but I also want a good deal. Any suggestions on a fair price.

Yea, what I dont get is, KBB says 6,950 and NADA says 8,975. Is KBB low or NADA high or I guess I could just split the difference.

Never used NADA just KBB... splitting it would probably be fair

It's probably worth 8-10k, depending on the condition.

The condition is excellent. She brought it to work today, I drove it around for awhile, its runs and drives great. Paint has no chips or scratches, no dents. I couldnt find a thing wrong with it.

If you can find the right buyer, a completely untouched 94 cobra could probably get you close to 12k with that low of milage. Id try putting it on ebay with a reserve of 10k, and buy it now at 12k and see what happens. Thats a rare sight to find a 5.0 cobra, unabused, in excellent condition, with hardly any miles. You'll get a decent buck for that if you wait it out for the right buyer for sure.
Good luck.
Also, to compare, I bought my 94 with 66k miles on it a year ago for 8k bucks... it was in pretty good condition, but not excellent like this one sounds like.

I would look at KBB and NADA and find out what others are selling them for (by looking around as some will try to sell them for far to much) My guess would be 10k~ give or take a bit. I know the low miles are very nice so I would definatly pay more for it IF it is in good shape (visually inspect it for upkeep and what not) make sure the paint is great and all that good stuff.

Im gonna pick it up this weekend, then Ill take some pics and post them. And now I get to start looking through past posts to see where to begin with mods. Somehow, I think the initial investment is going to be the cheap part of this adventure.

If it were mine, any mods I do would be reverseable and I'd keep the original parts.

Why, because you think it would be worth more stock, or just so you could transfer everything if you sold it and bought another.

If you ever sell it you'll want to sell it as stock as you can - so keep them incase - that's why they were saying an untouched car would bring in more money .... people tend to think it wasn't beat on as bad if its all stock .... we all know that's not usually the case ....

keep every part that comes off of it, no need in selling. They can be very useful if you ever needed to put it back to stock. The stock 94 cobras are not amazing performers but they are extremly cheap to make fast.

Prices have skyrocketed this year.. It honestly could sell for $10k without a problem if advertised well. if its in the condition you say its in. IMO $8k would be ok.
