zupp guys, just want to know how much hp will give my car after converting it to 4.2? im planning to sell my v6 to get a v8 but if converting makes my car close to gt, then i would rather do this instead.
and how much money is this going to cost me. parts and labor..
just putting the 4.2 crank and rods in your car wont really increase the performance a ton. You also need to port the heads/intakes and do a custom cam grind etc etc. In the end it will probably be cheaper to buy a GT if you are looking for that type of performance. (go drive one first though as they arnt really speedy IMO)

If you go the complete...full out...long block with all the goodies you can get up into GT hp range...
But, as stated above me...just go GT because you will be looking at ~6-7k plus labor to do it right and then you will be maxed out. A GT will be a touch more but you will be at the bottom of the potential with room to grow. IT is a better base to work off of.
