What do you think of drag trucks?Right now my friend and I are building a 79 F100 for racing slapping a big block to a C6 and a health shot of nitrous with a 4.88 gear in a 9 inch Hopefuly it will be all done by race season next year.

unless its a small truck it defeats the purpose of a drag vehicle (weight kills performance)

Plus the trucks are very poor at efficient weight transfer. There is absolutely no weight over the back end. Why someone would want to make a drag truck is beyond me.
It's kinda like racing a Honda... Sure. It can be done. And you can eventually make it pretty fast. But why???

waste of a perfectly good truck IMO.
jk. there was one at the track last time, like a early 70's chevy, fully tubbed, tubed and turbo'd big block running mid 10's came on a flatbed. a daily driven cobra almost took him out if it couldve launched harder.

nope its not small by an strech of the imagaination and it will be more like 3 tons.I have seen trucks one ton duramax wip imports and muscle cars alike you can place wight over the rear end and it will hook up,but the reason we chose a truck is not everyone does it Mustangs and T Birds are fairly popular the older trucks arent kinda of a wild card. One thing to check out is Fun Ford Weekends trucks they are fast and hook up well.
