3000 gt vs v6 mustang

k my friend says a stock three thousand gt will beat my v6 mustang i disagree i raced one before he had some bolt ons i barely losted by half a car or less
now i have exhaust and cold air intake and are alot cleaner on my shifts

what would be the out come of a stock three thousand gt vs my mustang

Depends on which motor the 3000 GT has. They had a couple different engine options. If it's the TT model, you standeth not a chance.

its not turbo at all just motor no after market parts

If it's the base model 3kgt, it should be pretty even, depending on the drivers.

all the 3000gt levels are slow as crap. The base v6 (na) runs 17s... which if you have a 94-98 v6 you should be right there with it, the 99-04 v6 will blow its doors off. The twin turbo version is still slow.. those things are just to heavy.

I stomp 3000 GT's and Stealths. I have had 4 race me each one went down in flames. Stock for stock it will be close if in a 94-98 V6 a 99+ will win.

Base Model single cam 3.0 161 BHP
Upgrade twin cam 3.0 218-222 HP
VR4 TT 300-320 HP

These are heavy cars for a 2 seater 3200 pounds and 3780 for the convertible. Most 3000GT's you see have the mid upgrade engine. Typically you see plain no spoiler 3000's have the low power engine.

if its the base model (SL i believe) you got a chance, and will prolly be a drivers race.

if its a VR4 then no, those should pull a GT with ease (emphasis on should).

The VR4's are pretty bad little cars. They were ahead of the whole turbo talon/Eclipse thing and put down more power than any of them still do stock.

Does say a 95 Eclipse have the same motor as a 3000GT?? cuz i raced my friends Eclipse and i beat him till i cut out, he could do 140 mph so i wasnt getting anywhere near that.
