i'm 17 years old and purchased my 03 sonic blue auto V6 a couple of months ago. I added a Pypes true dual exhaust, and a few small things like mud flaps and floor mats. I wanted to know if anyone has any advice to make my mustang faster and meaner looking. I want to smoke my friends 94' thunderbird 4.6 that's been pretty beat on.

get used to driving it lean when to shift it for optimal power and if you dont have that many miles you should do well.The 4.6 isnt a joke like some think oyu might need to see if there has been any mods to the engine and also look at a free flowing filter or cold air intake for yours since you already got the exhaust if that doent work then strip all of the interior out that how I used a clapped out 240 to beat quite a few stangs.I knew my car and shaved all the weight I could that made a big advantage.

you shouldn't have any problem against that tbird, they run about the same times through the 1/4, esp if his has been beat badly..

PCM reflash (SCT?) would work wonders for your car..
Better shifts
better shift points
slightly more aggressive timing

only problem is you'd have to use premium fuel..

a taller rear-end ratio would help a good bit too (but I'm not too familiar with the v6 trans ratios.. so wouldn't know what to recommend)

You won't see too much gain with a CAI and exhaust on a v6..
