He's going to need at least 6 or 7 grand to bring that car back to original shape. Assuming the frame isn't bent. Do they even honor engine warranties on cars wrecked that bad? :-?

Damnit, I just closed the window with my response.
I think it's a part car, but it could be fixed up for not that much. It's definitely worth 3k, and the winner got a good deal.
The hood and front bumper could be put back on, but new wheels, trunk lid, sail panel, rear bumper would be needed.
Frame and rear suspension damage would need to be checked though before buying!

No it could be a good deal with further inspection. But honestly he could part it out for way more than he is probably going to get

it already ended...3k! only 3k for a mostly likely mint drivetrain and engine... not to mention body and interior parts to part-out.
hopefully the guy works at a body shop and fixes the whole thing for 2k and sells it again on ebay for 14k.

to get that car road worthy youd have to do a frame swap AND replace like 75% of the sheet metal.

actually.............. that isn't too bad
I have a friend who has a bodyshop, what he does is - buys cars like that, and restore them. I've seen him fix up cars that looked a lot worse than that, and it costs him shit to fix it (since it's his shop). He makes some good money doing this. He does that to like Beemers, and benzes though
