Wheel & tire question

I see the factory 17's bullets are 17x8 and the aftermarket ones are 17x9. What would be the difference in tires with a 17x9 compared to the factory 17x8?

Nope. Gotta remember that the 05+ have strange tire sizes.

The stock 17x8s come with 235/55/17s. The closest to the stock overall height you're are gonna be able to get is gonna be either a 285/45/17 or a 255/50/17.

So really, it depends on if you like a nice fat looking tire for your wheels (285/45/17) or if you prefer them to be a little more narrow (255/50/17).

That's why you can put such a big wheel on the 05+ without looking like shit. The sto** overall tire height is 27.14" or so.

the backspacing differs on the new stangs as well the pre 99's dont stick out enough on them~
