I was at Mosport yesterday with a group from Toronto.We rented the road race track for the day,for some all out (no limits)racing.I had the only Stang there.The Clone Roush(Stage 3) was a real blast.The S3 suspension and BFGDR's didn't let me down,it stuck like glue to the asphalt.The Roush is a very powerful contender with the S/C'er on the course.(Lots of hills,hairpins and 2 straight aways).I am getting some Brembo big brake set installed next week(I really wanted to have them sooner but they are still in transit)and I think thats a real must for racing.I had upgraded my brakes in the summer with generic 13inch"drilled and slotted rotors"on the front and Hawk HP brake pads all around.This system was great,no fade and it slowed me down consistantly when I hammered them.I ,of course still want to get the Brembo set up.
If you ever get a chance ,try out this award winning race track.The Mustang BTW worked at WOT for most of the day,and then when I finished racing ,I was able to drive home (unfortunately)in crawling stop and go rush hour.The car didn't burn a drop of oil,and the only other thing was gas
. Only one car crashed during the day,but nobody was hurt(one less Honda S2000 in the world).This was my first adventure in a controlled setting like this and I recommend it to anyone who likes twisties and adrenelin
