its actually easier than you think.
it was a RSX i believe, and my buddy did it twice. once trying to get from 3 to 4 it slipped back into 2nd, and once trying to go from 4th to 5th and it went back into 3rd.
this is why i like trannies that have "Feel" to them, trannies you have to manhandle to get gears in, not these little soft slushboxes.

Someone needs help if they can't pull from 3 to 4...relax your ass and don't yank on the damn shifter...lol
EDIT: I Am also shocked it let him go into 2nd at that rpm/speed. I don't think I can go into second from the top of 3rd.

my three wheeler made that noise one time right before i fried a piston ring.....now it leaks oil out the side of the engine |

Only 1st and reverse are synchronized in these cars. They don't have really good lock outs and if you push just right, they will go in the other gears no matter what speed. I've had a couple of them come in misfiring and check engine light on due to misshift. Hell one of the owners was dumb enough to video it and put it on an RSX forum. He tried to claim warranty until we told him that we saw the footage. Plus these puters are actually registering misshifts now.

:dunno: My old Integra GSR, and even my Civic DX shifted great, I think the shifter is the best part of a Honda. They shift much nicer than my Mustang even with a Pro 5.0. |
