Alright, i have a stock v6. Definantly not enough for me. I want to mod it, and i know you can make a v6 pretty powerful, but should i just try and trade in for an older GT or Cobra? I've found a few 2001-2003 GT's with slightly more miles than my v6 for about a grand less. Opinions?

A V6 can be made to be very strong with enough money. It can be made respectible fore a reasonable amount of money (built stroker, bolt ons, maybe a power adder) and run decent numbers.

However, if you are wanting to go extreme with it, like run over 400 rwhp or something, I would say go with a GT/Cobra instead. It will give you a higher and possibly better base to start with.

Depending on the amount you want to spend, I would say go for an 03/04 cobra. There are a ton of them for sale right now in the 22-26k range. Great starting platform and huge numbers for minimal money.

If that isn't a possibility, I say move up to a V8 and start working from there. A built long block won't be too too much (about 5-7k) and you will be ready to start pooring on the power afterwards.
