Well I bought my 89 gt about a year ago and it was stock exept for a k&n filter. So far I've added Mac equal length shorty headers,Mac H-pipe,Flowmaster cat back,Mac cold air intake,Ngk Wires and plugs,3.73 gears, aluminum radiator with electric fans, underdrive pulleys, and I still have a 70mm throttle body to put on but I thought I would do that when I get an aftermarket intake manifold. What should I do next?? In the end I want a 331 stroker with a Vortec S trim or a Procharger...My motor does have 150,000 mile so I'm not sure whats next...intake manifold is what I was thinking....then new motor with H/C...what do you guys think??

You seem to have a pretty good base right now, I'd look at either buying supporting mods for your ultimate goal, or go ahead and start saving/buying your 331 kit so you can get it sooner.

I did what you're planning -- eventually got a 331 and will eventually get the blower for it.. I started out getting the supporting mods.. then went for the 331 -- I'm using a GT-40 tubular upper/lower intake but I think its choking my car's performance.. get something that can better handle it.. BBK/edelbrock performer RPM, trickflow etc are all better flowing..
Be sure to use a cam that can work well with either NA -or- boost on a 331 to save you from having to change it later on with best performance for the S/C

Either that or start saving up for the stroker. I really wouldn't get the 165s with a stroker though, especially with a blower. You'll probably want the 185s for that.

I used a 190 lph fuel pump, 24 lbs. injectors, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, calibrated mass air meter, and 65 mm throttle body to support the top end kit. I had this set up in an automatic with 4.10's and it ran 12.80's. I am currently installing it into a 5 speed with 4.10's.
