exhaust help

well first of all i just want to say that i just finished bootcamp for the United States Marine Corps!!!!!! im on my 10 days leave, and i wanted to know if i should get turndowns(i think thats what they are called) for my exhaust. so insetad of having the exhaust tips stick out the back the exhauts will point towards the ground underneath the car so you cant even see the exhaust. will it make my exhaust quieter? i want then b/c i dont care for the way my exhaust tips look b/c i dont have a gt rear bumper and the exhaust like touched the bumper and one of them is kinda crooked. will the turndowns sacrifice the sound of my exhaust?? or will it be the same?

i have turn downs on mine and i have heard people say turndowns are louder...but if u want a deeper tone go all the way out the back with some echo tips

First off let me say

And from what I understand, the longer the pipe from the muffler back, the quieter it is exiting the vehicle. So if what I've been told is right, turndowns would be louder.

Turndowns will be louder and deeper.

I used to run dumps on my car, it was louder and deeper. I have the same mufflers run out the back and it's a completely different sound.

Yes turndown are def louder thats all iv'e ever had and will never have talipipes love the sound.
