I just bought a 1966 Ford Mustang GT. This car has had some modifications. It curently has a 5.0L/302-with 345HP. I would like it to have better HP. What would you guys reccomend that I do to add to this, supercharger, turbo charger, bigger engine? If a bigger engine what size?
Thanks for the help.

are you looking for a pro touring car or drag car?If it was mine first I would upgrade the brakes and suspention then rebuild the engine stroked to 331 or 347 add a supercharger and maybe a small shot 50/75 hp drop in a T5 and get it geared to 4.10 add a four point cage and two racing buckets with five point harnesses good stereo system. But thats my plan and why its taking so long plus I dont mind the time or well way long down time because I knew goin into this it would take five or more years cause my stang is in lots o parts and has got some bad cancer spots.

Never driven a classic, so I couldnt tell you. Suspension and brakes are always a good upgrade on ANY mustang though, as they all tend to handle like minivans full of mexicans haha

My '90 makes my '06 feel like driving a frickin' Escalade or something.
There's a offramp on the way to Commerce that I take a good 15 miles per hour faster in the '90 than I feel safe taking in the '06.

What is the largest engine I could fit into my 66 Mustang? I am looking for raw horse power!

I imagine you could probably fit a 460 stroked out to whatever ridiculous amount of c.i. you could desire. You gotta realize thought that sometimes the "biggest" engine isn't the best way to make power.
If you want to make some real power... Go with a 351 Windsor based stroker with some AFR 205 or 225 heads and a blower. If you want more power than that... you are just sick.

Anything bigger than a 351W and you have to cut out the shock towers and go to a Mustang II style IFS or else it won't fit. Even with the windsor you have to get swap headers.
