stainless line and fittings

Ive got everything on the turbo setup done except this dam oil feed line. The fitting went on the drain line perfect but I cannot get the small I think its 4an line on the fitting. I cut some of the stainless back so the hose is exposed then i slide the fitting on and tighten it all the way and I can still pull it apart by hand it is so loose . anybody know any trick to these damn things? Thanks

For me, it was much easier with 2 people. Get a buddy to do nothing but keep the hose pushed forward as hard as he can while you tighten down the fitting. I believe some people have rigged a way of doing it with a vice, but I don't remember how they did it. Just use a buddie or pay a hobo $5 to help out.

ugh. my drain line consisted of two of the fittings and radiator hose with hose clamps.

then again, im a dsmer.

SS fitting suck ass, i helped a buddy do shitloads of them for his gst once, basically every line in his engine bay that could be SS fittings/hoses had them.

anytime I have ever done it took two people as Dark described
