Tremec TR-3650 Transmission Gear Ratios

The Tremec TR-3650 made it's debut in the 2001 Mustang GT during mid production. Before the switch to the TR-3650 the rest of the 2001 Mustang GT's used the T-45. The TR-3650 is still used in the 2005+ Mustang GT's.
1st Gear: 3.38:1
2nd Gear: 2.00:1
3rd Gear: 1.32:1
4th Gear: 1.00:1
5th Gear: 0.675:1
Reverse: 3.38:1

it was in the middle of the 2001 model production.. a friend of mine has an 01 with a 3650 in it.

I think some used the 3650-HD such as the cobras in 01 (not sure if all but some perhaps) and maybe the bullit. hmmm need to do some research.

The 99 cobra had the t-45.

It would be based off of the month the car was manufactured. If it is 6/01 and before it is a T-45 if it is after 6/01 it is a TR3650. The sticker on the inside of the drivers door will give you the date. At least thats one way to check.

t45 vs. t3650 are manual trannies

The driveshaft will be the same, just get a driveshaft from any fox bodied car running this transmission.
Be more worried about the bell housing mating up to a V6, this is where you will run into issues.

How about the speedo in the 98 cobra, is the drive on the transmission for digital or cable read out. If not what is the newest transmission i could use and still utilize my speedometer? |
