Blower options..

Okay Its come to the point where.. yeah my car is fun to drive, but as the guy who did my dyno tune pointed out.. with my setup, and the right blower I could see 430 HP + to the wheels (on a loaded dyno) and matching or greater torque (Have my dyno in the signature.. click the 'slow' link)

I more drive it around town than I do take it to the track (I enjoy driving it too much to risk breaking it at the track lol I don't think I could live without a mustang for a while)

I neglected to ask which one he'd recommend.. but he seemed to be a fan of the twin screw type blowers (kenne bell/etc)

However..

1) Which companies include all-inclusive install kits?

2) intercooling REQUIRED or no?

3) I have o-ringed iron heads, so I'm not too worried about blowing a head gasket.. but I don't want too much boost.. honest

4) Which would you recommend? I know CSC has mid/top range punch, but twin screws have the bottom end grunt..

5) For a quality kit and your blower of choice, how much am I looking at price wise?

well if you want more hp/tq than what a supercharger will give you could go turbo.

You make plenty of torque already, so I would not go with a roots style blower. If you do, you'll begin to run into serious traction issues.

I personally have always like the Paxton Novi's or the Prochargers. If I was in the market, I'd probably go with a Procharger though because they have a reputation for being the best.

you'll find yourself much more support in the aftermarket of combining words like supercharged 5.0 and street driver..

you can do the turbo thing with a 302, and its becoming alot more of the com in the drag racing world, but when its my money and we're talking about spending alot of it I prefere to travel the beaten path.

i would go with the kenne bell...even though you have a lot of torque baseline, you could always use more....plus out on the street your not going to be running 6000 rpm all the time, you'll be in the lower rpms so the roots type in my opinion would be better for the street...get the most torque possible without going balls to the walls all the time

I Highly Recommend the Vortech or Paxton.They are Dead nuts Reliable for years and make Awesome power Non Intercooled.My old 302 combo 5 years ago Dynod 516 rwhp and 532 rwtq with 12psi from an S-Trim,I sold that motor out of my car and its still being used today in a different car going 10.70s all from 302ci.

I would either go with a kenne bell or a whipple. i have heard good things about the whipple and supposedly it makes better power in higher rpms where the kenne bell slips off.
