Borat: A revolutionary film?

This is a thought of mine that I came up late last night.
Borat is almost 100% in character all the time. He is everywhere now. He is in ads and new stories all over. Borat is the celebrity, not Sacha Baron Cohen. Whenever he goes out he is in character. When he gets interviews he is in character. When he walks through his hotel lobby he is still Borat. Could this open up a new genre of films/actors that dedicate their lives to one or two characters? Whenever actors do a film thats just a single character, and after the film that character no longer exists. Do you think maybe in the near future we will see a few Borat type characters walkin down the red carpet and giving speeches after they win an award in character, go out to parties still in character? Another example of this I think would be Jay and Silent Bob who appeared in a few movies. Now only if they stayed in character pernamently it would be kinda what im thinkin here.
I know its unrealistic but I thought it was a pretty good thought that deserved to be mentioned lol.

I don't think it is revolutionary, I see it as a gimmick. Plain and simple.

I honestly do not see what the big deal is about this movie. I looks pretty lame to me. He's doing stuff Tom Green did 6 years ago, but since he's Arab... it's revolutionary??? WTF? |

just proves how quickly americans forget things. most my friends still dont remember why we are in the middle east, nor that iraq existed pre-war, nor do they remember countless resolutions, desert storm, genocide of the khurds, etc.

Here goes the dating ones self again... This is same thing Andy Kauffman (sp??) did in the 80s too. He rode the character he played on Taxi (?) for years. Prob til he died. |

Where has all the good movie's gone. All this trash at the theater should be a TV show not the big screen.

Don't worry Brothey Corey. They are doing a remake of Gone With The Wind later this year. You should love it.
And honestly, I don't care if he's Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Aetheist, Buddhist, Mormon, Hindu or Scientologist. He's lame either way. All I know is that he "says" he's from Kazakhstan (I'm sure I murdered that spelling horribly). I've never drank tea with him before, so I didn't realize he was British. |
