Has anyone thought about having one gigantic meet of all the ME members somewhere neutral? Now I know that there is really no place neutral, but somewhere close. Maybe Houston?  But I think it would be really cool if we could all get together for one weekend and finally meet. Give me some feedback of what ya'll think. I'm open to suggestions. Brent, Smurfin, Nate, Danger, Herb, everyone, what do you think?

We tried that last year in Jacksonville. We were there for a week...and NO ONE from florida showed. We drove from Baton Rouge, Huntsville, Tennesee and had a good time...and NO ONE from florida or nearby areas showed.
It is a great idea and concept. The hard part is getting people to drive over there. I would like to see something like this go down again...only with people coming this time.

Damn good idea !! But the thing would be to find a spot central to majority of the member. What about poor Ken up in the land of frozen nuts

It was last July I believe. It ended up being Me, Brent, Nick, Kyle, Jennifer, and Brent's friend Ian. It was a good time with lots of video of a very drunk Ian (about 1 beer/shot from the ER I think lol)

I was thinking along Zim's thinking (scary as hell I might add). somewhere in Missouri or Arkansas or even north Louisiana. Sorry Ken. I just know that I can't go that far driving. Maybe fly to NYC but that would be pointless... no car for me.

The problem is this: Half the site is from Alabama. If there is going to be a site meeting anywhere, it makes a lot of sense to have it there. It sucks for everyone else (me included now), but that's just life. No matter where it is, there are going to be some people who will be really far away. Plain and simple, if it's in Huntsville, more people will show up there than if it's anywhere else. |
