So, have y'all seen this one yet? Clear rims at SEMA this year....made from the same stuff the space shuttle windows are made from. This is intriguing.

the only thing that would suck is how quick they would get dirty. 10 feet down the road theyd be smoked clear because of the brake dust and whatnot. plus unless you had a nice set of brakes it would just look ugly.

And then someone might think it would be funny to take a screwdriver, or something to them.

Polycarb is the stuff used in the S197 headlight covers. We use it for bulletproofing dispatch at work. Unless glass fused, it can scratch like any other plastic. BTW from what I understand, the Polycarb in the shuttle is fused onto quarts crystal glass, which takes the bunt of the heat abuse in the shuttle.
I'm sure the clear plastic rim inserts are just a container ship away from your nearest Wal-Mart.
At least the girl is cute, but probably because of her own "polycarb accessories"

blah they need to learn how to better use magnets and just have the rim float around the hub on the front while the rear wheels propel the vehicle.
