the general news/spy websites are reporting this as something of a rumor, or something open to debate.. but i can tell you with absolute certainty that the car itself is a physical reality as well as being in preproduction concept form... i can state this because the vehicle itself has been sitting in the quality inspection isle of nissan, smyrna for the last week in preparation for being shipped to LA for it's unveiling later this month...
the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe, based on the overall design of the 2007 Altima sedan... sans 2 doors and a back seat... if this coupe is anything like as nice as the sedan, nissan has a first class offering coming out of nowhere

here are some photos for your comparison... the first 2 are official altima sedan releases
the last 3 are spy photos of the coupe... given the similarities, i think it's safe to say the coupe is an altima

thats all it is......................the 350z doesnt have a backseat so they arent selling to those that want a sporty car with a backseat, those people opt for the g35........now they car offer a nissan version of the g35 coupe to keep people at the dealerships that find out a z doesnt have a backseat........kinda smart if you think about it

it's not a g35. g35 is on the fm platform... this is on a shortened version of the d platform. only the altima sedan is built on it
and, since i'm too large for a z, i like this altima

infinity is nissan anyway, so I dont think they care too much if the G35 steals a 350z's sales

Ever driven one?
The price can very A LOT. Theres lots of models of them, if you get an enthusiast model with a 6 speed, you've got everything you need with a 300hp car that will out handle most things on the road. I love them, my bro just picked up an 03 with 24k miles for 21k bucks... not that bad at all...
