06 mustang rearend problem

Ford has already replaced the insides of the rearend twice, after 9500 miles, has any one eles had this problem

sounds like ford half assed it... or they fixed the symptom and not the problem.

I know on the new Fords the diff fluid seems to break down to quickly I have had customers with a bit over 3k come in and it would look like they had been ran for 65k,try using a new lubricant.I myself use Amsoil products in my engines and diffs because its been proven to reduce operating temps by up to twenty degrees under a load,on the diffs,and I can get longer service intervals.I would recomend using Amsoil severe gear 75W-90 (SVG) or 75W-140 (SVO) full synthetic gear lubes have a performance emphasis on the extreme pressure and high heat of today’s vehicle differentials.Equally great if you are using it for play and daily driving.

what are your symptoms? grind/whine? kinda hard for us to answer if you just tell us ford "Replaced" the insides of the rear. for all we know, they prolly could have just changed the fluid, which could very well be a cheap temporary fix, or a "Band Aid" solution.

btw id use Royal Purple.

yes mine went south at 8000 miles,made a scraping sound in turns,limited slip system,bad diff fluid.its starting to do it again at 10 thou,I will go after market h/p any ideas on a brand.
