Does any one know what the upper limmit is for a stock 5 speed auto? I'm thinking of adding a SC and a CAI in the next year or so, but don't want to tear the whole thing apart.
Also, are there any real performance gains from an X pipe over the stock H?

it seems when the 05+ reach 450rwhp/tq they are at their limit (as most say) some of course have done more or less and have had issues or no issues at all... I would probably aim for around 400rwhp/rwtq.

A customer of the shop I deal with has an 06 auto with a vortech (or paxton) and is running somewhere like 430 rwhp currently. he is 66 is drives the hell out of the car on the street and at the track. It hasn't blown up...yet.

also its not just the psi/power level you run its the dyno tune that really matters.

The x pipe will give you a more even flow of gases from the exhaust than the stock H. While a stock GT might benifit that much. If you decied to go with the F/I Xpipe might be a must.

I have heard that the motors in the 05+ GT's can somewhat safely handle as much as 550 RWHP stock, but I wouldn't guarentee it. I'm not sure about the 5-speed auto tranny though.
